You can experience a world of opportunity and the chance to shape a career as unique as you.The opportunityWe are expanding our environmental approvals team and are seeking candidates at both Senior Consultant and Principal Consultant levels.You will balance work-winning in WA, junior staff mentoring as well as the development, and technical delivery of Environmental Approvals and land-use planning projects to facilitate the planning and approval processes for major infrastructure projects in the transport, water, power/renewables, and property sectors.We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with the opportunity to work from our Perth CBD office and remotely for 1-2 days per week, as desired.What you'll doSupport and deliver environmental assessment, approvals and planning projects, including environmental impact assessment and land use planning projects (Environmental Protection Act, Environmental Risk Assessment and Due Diligence Assessment etc)Develop new and support existing relationships with clientsContribute to the overall growth of the business with your work winning initiatives, including preparation of fee proposalsProvide planning inputs into renewable energy transmission and generation projects (on & offshore wind, pumped hydro and hydrogen technologies), new transport infrastructure developments and the transition of existing infrastructure towards Net Zero status (recent examples include Fast Rail and Zero Emissions Bus transitions), water asset maintenance and delivery programs, and property and building developments and land use planning, etc.Work with various clients including Commonwealth, State and Local Governments and the private sector (including Tier 1 Developers)Collaborate with our teams in WA, SA, and NT to develop a strong pipeline and build capabilities across the regionCollaborate with technical discipline specialists such as ecologists, acousticians and contaminated land scientists, engineers and designers, stakeholders and the community to create innovative solutionsAbout youYou're likely to have 10+ years of experience in planning and environmental approvals, and you strive to resolve environmental issues to help shape outcomes in our community.In addition, you bring the following skills and attributes:Strong work winning skills and attributes, including experience leading pursuits and bidding large environmental projectsBe a culture leader by actively promoting and embodying the WSP values and principles, and inspire others through your actions and wordsA thorough understanding of WA's environmental assessment frameworkExtensive experience in authoring and reviewing Environmental Review Documents, Environmental Impact Assessments etcProject management skills in coordinating multidisciplinary projects and fostering client relationshipsA desire to build your brand in both the WA and national marketsSome experience in Northern Territory and/or South Australia environmental assessment and approvals would be highly regardedImagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Join our close-knit community of talented individuals who share your passion for making a positive impact.
