About the roleThe Network and Cloud Architect is responsible for designing network and cloud infrastructure to support the organisation's IT needs. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of network and cloud systems.Key responsibilities of this role are: (but not limited to)Design resilient network infrastructure which enhances operational efficiency and scalability through effective management of network and cloud technologies.Design, implement, and manage network solutions on Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.Integrate traditional on-premise networking components with cloud services and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Design network monitoring and cloud performance platforms, identifying and addressing issues to ensure high availability and reliability.Develop and maintain detailed design documentation, including architecture diagrams.Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network and cloud solutions with existing systems and applications.About YouThe successful candidate will have:Ability to design, implement, and manage network solutions on Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.Experience integrating traditional on-premises networking components with cloud services and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Expertise in designing network monitoring and cloud performance platforms, identifying and addressing issues to ensure high availability and reliability.Collaboration skills with key business stakeholders to ensure network architecture aligns with business requirements.Expertise in configuring and managing network devices and cloud platforms.Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.2+ years of experience in a solution or network architecture role.Who we areThe National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) commenced operations in 2013 as the national entity responsible for regulating all heavy vehicles with a gross vehicle mass over 4.5 tonnes.
