APPLICATIONS CLOSING: Tuesday 5 November 2024Permanent, Full TimeRavenswood are currently seeking a permanent, full-time Payroll Officer/Finance Assistant to join our Finance Department at Ravenswood.Ravenswood is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. It is a school where staff enjoy a range of benefits that foster health and wellbeing, and students achieve outstanding academic success supported by innovative teaching practices that are underpinned by a whole school approach to Positive Education.Key responsibilities will include:Assisting the Payroll Manager with the processing of bi-monthly payroll, performing the full payroll function on rotation with the Payroll Manager.Preparation of monthly payroll reconciliation, conducting daily bank account reconciliations, and preparing and reconciling corporate credit card accounts, including posting journals.Assisting with the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow management, as well as supporting the annual audit and budget preparation.Assisting in the preparation of BAS (Business Activity Statements), serving as backup for the accounts receivable function, including tuition fee billing and debtor management, and providing backup support as directed or in the absence of Finance staff.Key skills and competencies:Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.Experience in Synergetic is an advantage.Bookkeeping and accounting experience.Ability to work to deadlines.Excellent organisational skills.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Education and Qualifications:A Bachelor of Business or Accounting Degree, or equivalent.Currently completing or a desire to complete CA/CPA qualification.To Apply:Please include a cover letter along with your resume.Ravenswood School for Girls is dedicated to maintaining a child safe environment and is committed to the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of children.
