Opportunity as an Underwriter is available Adelaide or Perth based.Hybrid working arrangements - work from home and office.Support to complete your ANIZIIF Insurance qualifications.Ongoing training and development to grow your insurance career.We are on the lookout for a dynamic and Underwriter to help us achieve our vision of being the most experienced and responsive insurance partner to the Strata community.At SCI we are committed to building sustainable value through the proactive handling of underwriting activities, ensuring product integrity, and providing exceptional service to our partners.We are dedicated to creating a workplace that fosters growth, learning, and success – for both our team and our customers.As an Underwriter you will contribute to achieving our mission by negotiating new business and renewal terms while delivering exceptional levels of customer satisfaction for all key partnerships in the Strata Community.Key Responsibilities:Negotiate new and renewal business programs for residential Strata buildings to achieve revenue and profitability targets.Develop and grow our market presence by nurturing relationships with our chosen intermediaries through exceptional service.Partner with the Claims team to gain a better understanding of insurance risk.Skills and competencies which will make you successful in this role:Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by strong communication and active listening skills.Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.Self-starter who is flexible, outcome orientated and productivity focus while supporting teamwork, diversity and collaboration.Highly competent in Office 365.
Insurance and Claim Systems experience would be highly regarded.Prior experience and knowledge:Experience in the General Insurance Industry gained in Customer Service, Underwriting or Claims.Tertiary education and Insurance qualifications will be highly regarded.More about us:Strata Community Insurance, It's at the heart of our business.
