About the RoleBabcock is seeking an experienced and dynamic Engineering Team Lead – Electrical to play a key role in a crucial Defence program.
This exciting opportunity is based at our cutting-edge facility in Woodville North, where you'll have the chance to lead and empower a talented team of engineers, contributing to their growth and success.
As the Hunter Engineering Team Lead, you will work closely with the Program Engineering Manager (PEM) and fellow team leads to provide effective leadership and guidance.
You will be responsible for overseeing the engineering activities and artefacts, ensuring they are delivered successfully through the application of engineering processes, resources, and tools.
You will also be tasked with nurturing and developing your team, enhancing capability within the Hunter program and the broader engineering division.
Your role will include:
Leading technical investigations.Making decisions based on sound engineering judgment.Ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions within time and cost constraints.Driving the production of technical documentation.Maintaining secure records.Presenting technical information to internal and external stakeholders.Managing product safety and conducting technical risk assessments.Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations throughout the engineering lifecycle.In this leadership role, you will have the opportunity to:

To be successful, you will bring:Australian Citizenship and a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain).Hold an accredited (under the Washington Accord) Bachelor's degree in Engineering.Relevant experience in relatable technical/engineering roles.Previous team management experience.Strong understanding of the design lifecycle and system integration.Experience with managing supplier and sub-contractor specification (desired).A good understanding of applicable engineering toolsets (e.g.
