Mater Health is looking for an experienced and adaptable Director - Allied Health Services to join the team
This position reports directly to the Executive Director, Health Integration and Community Care and is responsible for providing operational and strategic governance of allied health services delivered across the six South East Queensland hospital facilities.
The Director Allied Health Services will focus on leading the strategic development and management of service planning and the implementation of innovative models of care in line with national and international health service planning and contemporary practice. This position will also lead Mater's Allied Health workforce strategy across the state to ensure a high quality and sustainable Allied Health workforce. As a senior leader of Mater Health, this position has a leadership role within the Health Integration and Community Care portfolio and the broader Health Leadership group, collaborating with facility leads to ensure coordinated services.
You will hold a degree/post-graduate qualification in an Allied Health discipline from a recognised tertiary institution and ideally postgraduate qualifications in leadership/management. You will also meet the below criteria:
Demonstrated high level knowledge, expertise and skill in Allied HealthDemonstrated ability to lead Allied Health Services strategically and operationallyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersDemonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive changeProficiency in data analysis and interpretation to inform decision-makingMater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
