Founded in 2018 and working with children aged 0-20 years, Western Kids Health provides exceptional care to babies, children and teens in a multidisciplinary family centred model.
In addition to speech pathology, our services include psychology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and dietetics.
We are passionate about multidisciplinary team care, working within specialised clinics including Early Intervention, School Aged Services, Feeding, Mental Health, Complex Care, Orthopaedic Rehab and Parasports, and Gender Diversity.
Western Kids Health are committed to supervision, education and development.
Regular face to face supervision, team and clinic meetings and ongoing training and professional development opportunities are prioritised.
About the role We are currently seeking a full time or part-time Speech Pathologist to work across our Hillarys and Victoria House, Shenton Park, clinics.
The role will work primarily within our Early Intervention School Aged Services teams.
A small proportion (Your role will include:
Working with children and adolescents with a range of concerns and conditions including but not limited to speech delay and disorder, early language delay, developmental language disorder, stuttering, spelling and literacy difficulty and global development delay.Completing initial assessments, planning and implementing intervention sessions.Running small groups such as early language skills, literacy skills and school readiness groups.Completing administrative duties, developing therapy resources and group programs, and participating in team projects.This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or senior speech pathologist to join a supportive team in a business where they can grow and develop their skills.
Required skills and experience Tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology and current Certified Practising Speech Pathology registration with Speech Pathology Australia.Experience working with children with a range of communication delays and disorders between 2 and 12 years old, providing evidence-based assessments and intervention - outstanding recent graduates will be considered.Committed to the provision of services that reflect evidence-based best practice.Willingness to continually learn and grow, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, as well as excellent time management skills are also expected.Hold a current WWCC, Police Clearance, First Aid certificate, current drivers' licence and own vehicle.Visit www.westernkidshealth.com or @westernkidshealth on Instagram to learn more about the wonderful service that Western Kids Health offers to the WA community.
