Join us in our mission to make a significant impact on Australia's energy future.Scope and Department Accountabilities:ASL Stakeholder Relations & Communications is focused on delivering ASL's purpose – bridging ambition and action to deliver the energy transition. The ambition from our government partners is clear – we need to bring-forward and secure an historic level of investment in our future energy system to ensure a cleaner, more reliable and affordable energy future for Australians.This is a senior role that will play a major role in delivering on this mission. The Investor Engagement Manager will lead a team and enhance these relationships by ensuring that we tailor our service delivery in a way that incorporates stakeholder insights and provides better value.Within ASL and the broader AEMO organisation, this role will coordinate, support and empower commercial and financial markets experts to undertake their own engagement and enhance their own relationships with investors and the market – delivering better enterprise outcomes including robust insights that can help shape our work and progress the energy transition.This will play a key role in enhancing participation in our historically ambitious competitive tenders for generation and storage infrastructure development for both the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap and the Australian Government Capacity Investment Scheme.Role Responsibilities:Lead development and management of enterprise investor, developer and financier engagement strategy.Lead a small team of in-tender communication and engagement leads and oversee the effective delivery of information to tender participants.Develop effective communications materials for building awareness, understanding and connection with ASL's work.Help transform policy market insights into tailored information and outreach that supports investment decisions and the delivery of new energy infrastructure.Business partner with the ASL Commercial and Financial Markets Teams to support tender participation and outcomes, product awareness and subject matter expert engagement.Independently foster deep investor, financier and developer relationships.Collect, distil and coordinate stakeholder insights across ASL and AEMO.Lead engagement with industry peak bodies.Act as a conduit between market stakeholders, ASL and government partners.Provide expert advice to ASL leadership on market insights and sentiment.Support government partners to achieve their engagement and relationship objectives.Provide advice on the broader integrated stakeholder engagement function across ASL.Transform technical and complex subject matter into accessible and user-friendly materials across multiple channels and mediums.Ensure engagement and communications coordination and alignment with delivery partners and work proactively with them to support their own stakeholder and communications objectives.Position ASL brand in the investor and financier community (e.g., through participation of SMEs at key industry events such as conferences).Support continuous development of ASL corporate communications strategy, positioning and identity.Critical Capabilities:Education/ Certificates – Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor or Masters) in public relations, communications, economics, law or other relevant fields.Experience and Knowledge:A minimum of 7 years' experience in a senior energy investment, finance or infrastructure organisation.Deep understanding of the energy transition and infrastructure development.Existing relationships with debt and equity providers, developers and other commercial stakeholders.Exceptional written and oral communication skills and strong analytical and creative problem-solving capability.Detailed knowledge of the political, legal and regulatory frameworks in which the energy industry operates.Personal Leadership - high level of integrity with both internal and external credibility.Resilience and diplomacy, the ability to negotiate creative compromises.Strong 'sense-making' capability and 'outward-in' thinking, together with sound judgment to guide business decision-making.A strong passion for building and sustaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.Experience and proven track record of leading successful stakeholder engagement and communications delivery within complex environments.Proven ability to work with a high-level of autonomy and in close partnership with internal stakeholders.Ability to navigate complexity and deliver strategic and bespoke commercial communications.Your application will include the following questions:Are you legally entitled to work in Australia?Please detail your minimum salary expectations (including super):What is the notice period for your current employment?
