St Clare's Primary School is seeking a part-time teacher, 2 days a week, (Thursday - Prep & Friday - Year 2), who is passionate and willing to work collaboratively in an open learning environment with a team of dedicated and innovative teachers. 2025 Commencement. Experienced or graduate teachers are welcome to apply for this highly supported team teaching position.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to participate in and experience:
Implementation of the MACS Flourishing Learners Vision For InstructionWeekly Professional Learning Communities (PLC) supported by curriculum leadersOpportunities for external Professional Development such as Little Learners Love Literacy (P-2) or PhOrMeS (3-6)Facilitated planning on a weekly basis (A full time teacher receives one full day of planning a week - Part time staff receive a sliding scale of this approach)Participate in Instructional Coaching and be assigned a Coach to support individual professional developmentSupport the school's implementation of evidence-based practices such as the Science of Reading and Explicit Direct InstructionSpecial Requirements:
A willingness to collaborate, support and contribute to the building of a professional learning cultureA commitment to working with students from diverse cultural backgroundsAn ability to plan and implement engaging learning experiences based on current learning and evidence-based teaching practicesBe committed to Catholic educationA willingness to build strong partnerships and links between our families and schoolAn ability to adhere to St Clare's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359A current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching with an up-to-date Criminal Record checkAn ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleaguesAn understanding and demonstrated use of evidence-based best practiceA capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teachingAccreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School is desirablePlease note that an appointment may be made before the closing date if a suitable applicant has been identified as fulfilling the school's requirements and the position.
