Permanent full time opportunity to be accountable for all operational matters and have shared responsibilities for providing executive and professional leadership, expertise, and management of the mental health service in accordance with the policy directions of Queensland Health.
The Clinical Director is responsible for all clinical matters and professional issues where these relate to clinical matters.
About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide high level strategic management, ethical decision making and leadership to the mental health service consistent with Queensland Health's vision and values and within the framework of National, State and District Mental Health Policies, Plans and MNHHS Service Agreements and Program Operational / Business Plans.Manage the financial, human and physical resources to optimise mental health service outcomes and actively intervene as appropriate to ensure expected outputs and outcomes are met and are consistent with performance agreements.Provide highly specialised knowledge and skill in change management to facilitate the revised organisational structure, systems and processes to promote the provision of contemporary mental health services which support the model of service delivery.Contribute to the MNHS strategic management processes as a member of the MNMH Executive representing the district in state-wide health policy development activities as required.Health Equity It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS).
