Teachers Mutual Bank Limited is excited to announce the opening for a Compliance Advisory Manager.
This pivotal role will report directly to the Head of Compliance and will oversee a dedicated team of professionals.
The Compliance Advisory Manager will be instrumental in supporting the Bank's Second Line of Defence (2LOD) Compliance framework, which is crucial for ensuring that the Bank adheres to regulatory requirements while effectively managing compliance risks.
In this role, you will provide guidance to key stakeholders across the organization, fostering a culture of compliance and promoting effective management of compliance obligations.
You will collaborate closely with the First Line of Defence (1LOD) business teams and the legal department to ensure the delivery of a fit-for-purpose risk and compliance function.
This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the Bank's products, operations, and regulatory landscape.
You will be responsible for evaluating new and changed products, assessing the impact of emerging regulations, and developing robust compliance strategies.
Your leadership will be vital in establishing trust and driving continuous improvement within the compliance framework, ultimately enabling the Bank to navigate complex regulatory challenges while achieving its strategic objectives.
Responsibilities: Provide expert compliance advice to First Line of Defence (1LOD) business units, aiding in the management of compliance obligations and risks.Evaluate new and modified products, assisting the 1LOD in developing effective compliance risk mitigation strategies.Assess the impact of regulatory changes and industry practices on the Bank, guiding strategic initiatives and compliance risk assessments.Conduct essential compliance oversight activities, including risk assessment for financial products and Bank operations.Develop and maintain an effective compliance framework, policies, and programs aligned with industry best practices.Identify and investigate potential regulatory breaches, preparing breach reports and regulatory updates as needed.Proactively lead and support the Risk and Compliance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.About You
You are a proactive and strategic thinker with a strong background in compliance within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage effectively with key stakeholders.
You are committed to fostering a culture of compliance and are adept at navigating complex regulatory landscapes.
