Overview:
Mater Misericordiae Ltd (Mater) Board is seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Executive to lead our organisation and its wholly-owned subsidiaries, including Mater Research, Mater Education and Mater Foundation.
This is a significant group-wide leadership role which is integral to our Mission of delivering high-quality healthcare, education and research to the communities we serve.
The new Chief Executive will be responsible for setting an inspirational vision for our future, ensuring optimal performance in our service delivery in alignment with Mater's Mission and Values.

About Mater:
A Catholic not-for-profit ministry of Mercy Partners, Mater is guided by the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy who first established Mater in 1906 when they built the first Mater Private Hospital.
This was the start of a tradition of care and compassion for the sick and needy that continues to inspire us today.

Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for nearly 700,000 patients annually across a network of 11 public and private hospitals.

About the Role:
As the new Chief Executive, you will report directly to the Mater Board and provide visionary and inspirational leadership and direction to the Mater Executive team.
Your responsibilities will include managing all aspects of Mater's operations, including Mater's 'best in class' maternity service, further establishing Mater as a global leader in the provision of mothers' and babies' healthcare.

The Chief Executive will also have accountability for driving financial, commercial and operational excellence, meeting our compliance and regulatory obligations, while simultaneously fostering a culture of excellence in order to deliver the best experience for service users and employees alike.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding leadership in alignment with Mater's strategic imperatives Build and strengthen Mater's maternity service to enhance our world-class status Position Mater as the employer of choice through the development of a progressive and inclusive culture that will enable us to attract and retain top clinicians through the integration of health, research and education Optimise and leverage strategic opportunities that exist through public and private health collaborations and partnerships Uphold and promote Mater's Mission, Vision, and Values in all aspects of the organisation at all times Develop key relationships with stakeholders, including government, universities and healthcare agencies Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and professional obligations Foster a culture of excellence in customer service and employee engagement.
About You:
The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader with extensive senior executive or Chief Executive experience in a related healthcare or not-for-profit sector, or sectors of equal complexity and scale.

You will possess sophisticated executive leadership skills, a strong, ethical value base and a proven ability to drive an ambitious transformation agenda in a complex organisation.
