HCL in ANZ is focused on providing software-led IT solutions, Enterprise and Applications Consulting, remote infrastructure management, BPO services, and IT Hardware and Systems Integration with offices based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland & Wellington.

Role Overview: The Technical Architect will take ownership of the strategic delivery of technology architecture strategy, including designing, refining, and uplifting system architecture to meet customer expectations.
This role provides a critical capability in helping technology delivery teams understand how their program progress fits into the wider group view and how to best structure Ab Initio technology solutions to stay future-fit, compliant, and best in market.
Roles and Responsibilities: Work with clients to discover, analyze, and document client business requirements, translating them into technical terms and driving team efforts to design, build, and manage technology solutions that solve business problems.Design solutions, system, and software architecture according to business strategies and architecture standards/processes.Analyze business requirements and determine appropriate solutions based on business needs.Resolve routine to moderately complex problems and issues in solution architectures; assess potential risks and determine solutions to these risks.Collaborate with other team members, technology experts, and business stakeholders to provide functional support to clients on solution architecture, ensuring solutions align with Reference Architectures and cross-cutting technology and security standards and policies.Exhibit an outlook to bring continuous improvement, innovation, and a capability to learn new areas (technology, business domain, project management process) and drive similar efforts of team members.Undertake primary ownership in driving self and team effort across all phases of a project lifecycle.Education Qualification, Experience, and Expertise: Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering.At least 8-12 years of IT experience with the following technologies: Ab Initio, SQL, Unix, Jenkins.Must have a good understanding of ETL frameworks.
Extensive experience in data warehousing and expertise in various Ab Initio tools such as GDE, Express>IT, MHub, EME.
Understand the problem statement, client requirements, and design and build complex solutions using programming languages, ETL platforms, etc.
Experience working in an Agile environment.Ability to lead solution design sessions and document system/technical requirements.Advanced SQL skills are required, including the ability to understand complex queries.
Exposure to Cloud Platforms will be a plus - AWS, Azure, GCP.
Recommended experience with Kafka.
