Senior Automation Engineer - Appium/Cypress9 Month Initial Day Rate Contract3 days p/week in office$700-900 p/day inc Super (pending experience) We are pleased to be partnering with this iconic Aussie brand as it looks to hire an experienced Auto engineer to join its Tech team.
This QE position is intended to bolster the team for an exciting mobile application consolidation project.
You should have strong skills to contribute immediately, with a primary focus on automation work with a willingness to support with manual testing as required.

Key Responsibilities:Develop and Maintain Automated Test Scripts: Create, execute, and maintain robust automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications and Appium for mobile applications, ensuring high coverage and reliability.Collaboration with Development Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and troubleshoot defects early in the development cycle, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely releases.Design and Execute Test Plans: Formulate comprehensive test plans and strategies based on functional specifications and requirements, covering both manual and automated testing methodologies.Continuous Testing and Improvement: Implement best practices for automated testing, including regular reviews of test scripts and processes to enhance test efficiency and effectiveness.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of test results, and communicate findings and insights to stakeholders, driving informed decision-making.Technical Skills Required:Cypress Expertise: Proven experience in writing, executing, and maintaining automated tests for web applications using Cypress, with a strong understanding of JavaScript and front-end technologies.Appium Proficiency: Strong background in mobile application testing with Appium, including experience with both Android and iOS platforms.CI/CD Integration: Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar, ensuring continuous delivery of quality software.Testing Methodologies: Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and experience with performance and regression testing.Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive attitude.You Will Have:4+ years in a Quality Assurance role with test automation experienceAttention to detail with a focus on quality outcomesKnowledge of integrations and databasesUnderstanding of automation techniques, e.g., data-driven testing, Keyword-driven testingAbility to write and review coded tests in C# and Javascript (automated test scripts)Experience using Appium & Cypress Test Automation frameworksKnowledge of Automation frameworks, methodologies, processes, best practices.Knowledge and experience with version control toolsStrong technical and business QA analysis skillsPragmatic and positive approach to the Quality Assurance processIf you're ready to make an impact and contribute to a high-performing team, we want to hear from you
