Delivering primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards, legislation, and Defence Policies and Procedures.Being part of a multidisciplinary team working toward the shared purpose of achieving and maintaining the health and wellbeing of Defence members.Assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and providing care that supports the health and well-being of members pre and post deployments.Providing medical technical advice to the Joint Health Unit (JHU) Commanding Officer (CO), Joint Health Command (JHC) Health Centre Manager and Commanders of units.Being supported by a team of Senior Medical Officers and uniformed colleagues.Providing services in either an outpatient or inpatient care setting within a ward.About ADF Health ServicesIn partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 45+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.
About KuttabulKuttabul Health Centre is located on HMAS Kuttabul in Potts Point and the area itself has been host to a naval base since 1856.
It is home to Fleet Support Unit South-East (FSU-SE) which conducts maintenance on ships and submarines.
The health centre provides primary medical, aviation & underwater medical, outpatients, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical and physiotherapy services to the ADF population.
This mid-size health centre has up to 4,500 members and provides services for overseas visiting personnel.
Standard operating hours are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday.

To be successful in this role you'll have: The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner, General in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Please note:
