The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking applications for multiple vacancies within Corporate Operations Branch.
We are seeking motivated candidates to fill a range of opportunities across the Corporate Operations Branch for ongoing and non-ongoing roles.
These positions offer a unique opportunity to collaborate with DPS staff, the President's Office, and Senior Executive Services, contributing to projects with impact.
Multiple roles are available within a range of functions including:
Internal AuditGovernanceRisk and FraudOrganisational PerformanceParliamentary CoordinationOur ideal candidates will bring to the role a clear understanding of government and its processes and how effective governance arrangements contribute to the success of the department in achieving its strategic objectives and priorities.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
Exemplary levels of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and discretion.Knowledge of similar processes in a government environment, including understanding of relevant legislation or proven ability to learn.Strong leadership skills and experience in building, maintaining, and contributing to a respectful and inclusive work culture.The ability to support, establish, and contribute to high performing teams to deliver high quality governance services and products.Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, critical analysis, and initiative to identify emerging issues and risks.The capability to identify solutions to problems and develop an understanding of the department's broader operating context.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively, cultivate and maintain productive working relationships, including with senior executive staff and external stakeholders, and tailor communications to a diverse range of audiences.Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with high level organisation skills to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities and respond flexibly in a dynamic working environment.We strongly encourage candidates with knowledge, skills, and interest across any or all of the areas listed above to apply.
This recruitment process will establish a versatile candidate pool, from which successful applicants may be drawn into various roles as needs arise.
While you may highlight specific areas of expertise or interest, please note that your application will be assessed against all functional areas, ensuring your suitability across multiple streams within the pool.
Candidates will be asked upon application to select which classifications you wish to be considered for.
A merit pool may be established and used to fill the same or similar vacancies across the APS for 18 months from the date of advertising.
