Nursing QLD - Other Contract or Temp Icon Cancer Centre AustraliaPart-Time (0.8 FTE, 4 Days P/W)Contract position until June 2027Role supported by Icon's Nursing Education Team, Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, Icon's Network of SME's & On-Site Nursing and Medical SpecialistsAbout the RoleIcon Cancer Centre and Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia have an exciting opportunity for a Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse to join our Mackay team in a part-time capacity. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, this role will focus on the delivery of exceptional personalised cancer supportive care to men with prostate cancer in Mackay. The role of the Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse is to work in partnership across all health areas and sectors including non-government agencies, to contribute to the continuity and quality of care for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer. The level and types of interventions delivered will vary according to the complexity of care required and the individual need of the patients in their care.Workload will be mainly self-generated, and this will be achieved through extensive interdisciplinary collaboration across primary, secondary and tertiary health.
