The role is a Part Time role for a Mental Health Clinician to provide professional and effective mental health care including assessment, consultation, care coordination, and therapy.
The Mental Health Clinician will engage with young people and their network, assessing young people's needs and experiences, and developing plans that enable their needs to be met in the safest and most respectful way possible.

Day to Day Duties Foster and sustain strong, positive relationships with young people, families/carers, team members, and other key stakeholders.
Collaborate with young people, families/carers, and service providers to assess support needs and deliver services aligned with relevant practice and quality frameworks, standards, and policies.
Develop plans that are realistic, evidence-based, respectful, and responsive to young people's needs.
Monitor young people and support network satisfaction with service provision.
Evaluate young people outcomes against assessed needs and expectations, including reviewing the effectiveness of provided supports.
Participate in case conferences and consultative meetings to contribute to young people's support planning.
Maintain accurate and timely records of interactions, services provided, and outcomes achieved, in accordance with relevant record-keeping policies and guidelines.
Fulfill reporting obligations in line with internal and external requirements.
Provide supervision and peer coaching to other clinicians.
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Children and Young Persons (Care and Protection) Act and the Mental Health Act.
Compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Actively participate in clinical supervision and other continuous professional development activities as directed by New Horizons or professional registration/membership requirements.
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within New Horizons and seek opportunities to enhance practices.
What You Need to Have: Tertiary qualifications - degree in Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing, or Psychology.
Occupational therapists who have full and current professional registration to practice with AHPRA, and who have completed additional mental health-specific training or have endorsement in mental health; or Division 1 Mental Health Nurses who have completed additional training or who have relevant experience within mental health (e.g., with postgraduate qualifications in mental health nursing).
Registered with AHPRA or relevant professional association.
Experience in the provision of generalist clinical assessment, consultation, and therapeutic interventions appropriate to people with a mental illness or dual diagnosis within the recovery-oriented practice framework.
Experience working in partnership and collaboratively with key stakeholders including NSW Health and primary and community services.
Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Current Drivers Licence, Australia Federal Police Check, NDIS check, Working with Children Check.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office software and Electronic Medical Record systems.
