What will you do?
You will take a lead role in delivering transmission and distribution projects within Aurecon's South Australia and Victorian (SAVI) Energy business.
This is an opportunity to join an eminent and well-established team and take on some of the most complex and pressing challenges of the energy market transformation.
In this role as a Technical Director, you will be responsible for supporting the growth and technical development of the team, interacting with colleagues from across different markets, capabilities and regions, to advise our clients on the development and implementation of distribution and transmission projects across the entire development lifecycle.
Roles include technical advisory, multidisciplinary detailed design projects as part of D&C, EPC or design only project delivery, as well as potential owner's engineer and or technical due diligence opportunities.

Here are the key things you will do to 'bring ideas to life'.
Provide a wealth of experience and hands-on technical leadership, to grow the Transmission and Distribution Teams' capacity and technical capability by motivating, developing and mentoring staff.
Provide leadership in building and maintaining relationships with our industry clients through technical delivery eminence including proposal preparation and technical aspects in the delivery of small to large scale projects.
Have well-developed and strong communication and technical report writing skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to a diverse range of clients.
Work collaboratively across the business and with local and national clients, bringing diverse skillsets together through national and international work-sharing, and innovation to complex problems to successfully deliver projects.
Membership of professional bodies related to transmission and distribution, Chartered Professional Engineer and Registered Professional Engineer Victoria.

You will also bring the following:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
15+ years of industry experience.
Strong transmission and distribution engineering background, with a strength in HV protection and secondary system detailed design, with a deep understanding of the multidisciplinary design requirements and relevant standards.
IEC61850 knowledge and experience would be highly desirable.
Commercial acumen.
The ability to understand where to focus efforts in mitigating our risk is an important part of the role.
Confident communication and ability to influence.
Collaborative team builder with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
An ability to inspire teams through technical leadership.
