As Senior Group Financial Accountant, you will be a key member of the Group External Reporting & Advice team, with a mix of responsibilities.
Your primary role is the planning and execution of the monthly, half-yearly and year-end Group consolidation items.
This will include working closely with key stakeholders across segments, treasury, tax, and financial planning and analysis teams.
You will also play a major role in supporting the External Reporting and the Technical Accounting sub-teams.
This role requires strong organisational skills to work under pressure, prioritise conflicting objectives, and deliver key milestones.
With a wide-ranging scope of responsibilities and stakeholders, this role will provide you with significant development and future career opportunities.
You'll have: A degree in a business-related discipline, with specific finance and accounting emphasis. Accreditation with CA/CPA or equivalent, with 2-5 years post-qualification experience. Interest in statutory accounting and eagerness to learn and develop technical knowledge. The ability to grasp complex issues and communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner. A strong analytical mindset with a meticulous eye for detail, whilst still being able to see the longer strategic vision for the Group. The ability to work independently and as part of a team with a high degree of flexibility to engage other teams to provide data as required. A good understanding of and experience in working with Hyperion Financial Reporting/MFR is beneficial. Why Qantas? You'll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
