Governance, Strategy and Planning (GSP) undertakes a range of enterprise activities to support the department to meet its strategic objectives and operational requirements, and delivers services and products to support frontline and corporate staff to effectively and confidently perform their duties.
As the Principal Policy Officer you will focus on maturing the Department's approach to human rights, including supporting staff in schools, regions and divisions to build human rights awareness and capability, and enhance our human rights culture; and maturing customer complaints management approaches at an enterprise level to develop and embed better practice approaches across the Department.
This includes:
Developing and delivering tailored complaints and human rights resources and training to build capability in frontline and corporate areasProviding support and advice to business areas managing customer complaints or making decisions that impact human rightsAnalysing data to identify trends and insights and support the department to meet its reporting requirements for customer complaints and human rightsWorking collaboratively to drive continuous improvement across the department, including supporting process and practice changeContributing to whole-of-government reform activities related to complaints management and human rightsWe are looking for a Principal Policy Officer who has the following attributes:
