Leadership RoleLarge & Stable organisationAbout the role: As our Airport Manager, you will manage the service/distribution operation ensuring it functions effectively and efficiently to maximise profitability while maintaining the highest level of service.
You will manage dual brands at this major airport, ensuring customer satisfaction, fleet utilisation, and profit generation are paramount by exercising independent judgement around day-to-day operations and activities.
Your responsibilities will include managing and leading staff, focusing on employee morale, performance, coaching, development, and discipline.
You will have the authority to make decisions while also seeking support and approval from higher levels when necessary.
Some key responsibilities will include: Customer Experience and Sales Actively take ownership, initiate activities, and drive improvements in individual NPS performanceFacilitate regular communication and follow-up for location NPS performanceLead management presence during peak/challenging timesOverall responsibility for location results (iRPD/revenue/coaching levels)Ensure location meets monthly RSA/ROA coaching minimumsFacilitate regular management level communication and follow-up of counter sales performanceAnalyse figures effectively; own location action plan and hold team accountableEnsure all figures-based activities are in place dailyExecute and lead Operations Service Standards without exceptionMonitor customer service levels and implement strategies to increase satisfactionStay aware of competitor activity to maintain competitivenessCoach managers to ensure team members achieve superior product knowledgeTrain managers to effectively manage fleet levels and employee rosteringIdentify and monitor employee needs to increase satisfactionApply empowerment guidelines effectively in the workplaceOperations Contribute to the development of the annual business planCompare location performance against the Strategic Plan and take necessary actionsManage, forecast, and maintain fleet levels in collaboration with the Fleet departmentForecast and manage staffing levels through effective workforce planningMonitor daily/weekly reports and financial strategic plansTeam Management Monitor employee needs and implement actions to increase satisfactionIdentify talent and implement training programmes for succession planningManage recruitment to ensure optimal staffing levelsMaintain a culture of service excellenceLead a team to accomplish organisational goalsControl costs relevant to operations in accordance with the budgetEnsure sufficient resources to meet operational requirementsLeadership Motivate the team to ensure productivity and satisfactionTrain and identify succession planning opportunitiesCreate an environment of trust and open communicationLead by setting a good exampleCoach and develop team membersFacilitate problem-solving and collaborationRecognise and celebrate team accomplishmentsPeople Management Apply effective performance management practicesReward and recognise team members appropriatelyDevelop strategies to increase employee moraleMonitor compliance with company policiesWorkplace Health & Safety Ensure legal requirements regarding health, safety, and environment are metAdhere to health, safety, and cleaning measures as detailed by the CompanyAction safety reports and conduct workplace inspectionsFollow health, safety, and environment policies and proceduresConduct workplace inspections and regular safety briefingsParticipate in incident investigationsTo be successful in this role: Previous managerial experience with proven coaching abilitiesFull Australian Working RightsFull & Unrestricted Australian Drivers LicenseCommercial acumen with the ability to maximise sales and performanceBusiness acumen to understand financial reportsDemonstrated judgement and problem-solving skillsExperience in complaints handling and conflict resolutionPlanning and organisation skills with multitasking abilityCompetent in Microsoft Office SuiteWhat we offer: Competitive Salary & Bonus StructureFully maintained company carFree Staff parkingChallenge, pace, and variety in this roleSupportive leadership teamAccess to Perkbox - discounts with retailers and brandsEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP) for mental health supportEmployee discounts on car rentalIf you would like the opportunity to grow with our business, we want to hear from you
