We aim to create solutions that are both functional and practical, innovative and sustainable, and most importantly, that meet the needs of our clients and communities.We are seeking a senior engineer in water treatment, desalination, wastewater treatment and recycling, or waste-to-energy, to utilise your experience to drive the strategic development and continued growth of our team's capabilities, and the delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment projects for our clients.
The role can be based in either our Melbourne or Geelong offices.You'll bring an appetite for business development and strong client relationships and a passion for delivering as part of a high performing team.
You'll understand client and project technical requirements, develop solutions, and be an active team member in the preparation of multi-disciplinary strategies, investigations and designs in water treatment.We offer opportunities to work with the water industry's broad range of clients, and with GHD's national and international projects.
You'll be part of a professional, collaborative, and friendly team, where we value wellbeing and work-life balance, and you can work flexibly from Melbourne or any of our Victorian regional offices in a full time or part time role.This diverse and exciting position will see you involved in:Delivering various and significant Victorian, Australian and international water and wastewater treatment projects, by understanding clients' needs, providing technical guidance and support to the project team for small, medium and large-scale projects (capex up to $500m)Project management and leadership, strategic advice, and coordination of resources on a diverse range of projects in the water sector, including advanced water treatment and desalination plants, wastewater treatment, recycling, and waste-to-energy facilities.Assisting the Business Group Leader and senior staff in identifying and realising business opportunities and setting future directions for the groupAssist in the development of other staff through mentoring, appropriate supervision, and trainingDelivery of technical reports, designs and specifications, client proposals and presentationsWhat would you bring to the team?Bachelor's degree in engineering, coupled with 5 or more years of experience in chemical or mechanical engineering, including water or wastewater treatment, desalination, recycling or waste-to-energy projectsExperience in the development of engineering drawings, design reports, specifications and tender documentation for water or wastewater treatment infrastructureProject management or project support experience, together with a willingness and ability to mentor and provide direction to junior staffWillingness to contribute to and lead business development activities backed by an active professional networkExcellent listening and communication skills along with exceptional relationship and networking skillsInterested?
