We are one of the largest financially independent Indigenous employers in Australia, with over 800 indigenous employees making up 83% of our total employment. Stores and our other businesses offer real jobs in an environment where there are few. It is a prerequisite of ALPA managing a store that the community wants to have active participation in the operation of their store at all levels.ALPA wages are one of the few sources of independent income in communities. Last financial year, over $7 million in wages alone was paid to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander staff in communities. Travel to remote Indigenous communities to support Community DevelopmentWork closely with participants to identify barriers that may impact ongoing employment and provide post-placement support.Work and live in a vibrant remote Indigenous community in the Northern Territory on a fixed-term contract.Based in Nhulunbuy, support & drive the success of our horticultural & gardening programs as well as our farming projects.Work in remote Indigenous communities to deliver training and assessment to Store, Duty and Relief Store Managers.Based in Ramingining in Arnhem Land, provide on-country delivery of flexible learning support for adult individuals.Darwin-based role. Commercially develop & lead the registered training and higher education operations for ALPA.Based in Galiwin'ku, increase nutrition awareness and understanding in the communities of Ramingining, Galiwin'ku, and Milingimbi.Seeking a passionate & enthusiastic retailer to manage the successful operation of one of our supermarket stores.Seeking an enthusiastic couple to support the successful operations of one of our supermarket stores in a remote Indigenous community.Travel across remote communities in Arnhem Land & support the successful operation of our supermarket stores.
