Research Associate (Population and Global Health)The University of Western AustraliaAustralia, WAAbout The University of Western AustraliaThe University of Western Australia (UWA) is one of Australia's leading universities and has an international reputation for excellence in teaching, learning and research.It has almost 24,000 students enrolled across four campuses.About the opportunityDevelop your expertise in research project management and qualitative research methods in the area of Aboriginal health with an increasing degree of autonomy.Work closely with the SWAMS Project Lead and Access and Engagement team based in Bunbury.Draft a research ethics application; undertake research activities such as literature reviews and the collection and organisation of data.Support the project Chief Investigator to coordinate the running of the project including managing project documentation, drafting project reports, managing project Investigator meetings, coordinating research outputs, and supporting applications for further funding for Phase 2 of the project.About youCompleted 4 years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience in a relevant discipline.Experience using qualitative research methods, awareness of and interest in learning more about Aboriginal ways of knowing, being and doing related to research.Experience of and/or commitment to Aboriginal health and wellbeing.Commitment to uphold ethical research and data collection practices.Commitment to increasing Aboriginal peoples' roles in improving the health and well-being of their communities, as planners and managers, service providers, trainers and trainees.Closing date: 11:55 PM AWST on Thursday, 12 December 2024This position is only open to applicants with relevant rights to work in Australia.Our commitment to inclusion and diversityUWA is committed to a diverse workforce and an equitable and inclusive workplace.
