Salary: $102,545 – $110,913 pa + super + salary packaging
Salary range between $102,545 - $110,913 per annum depending on skills/experience, + superannuation.Annual salary increase every year based on CPI.Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).10 days Noongar Cultural Leave per year.5 weeks annual leave per year + 3 days paid Christmas shut down + 17.5% leave loading.Long Service Leave vested after 7 years of service.Employee Assistance Program.Relocation Assistance for out-of-town candidates.Section 51.

Hours Full time – permanent
Duties Work collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues, board and committee members, proponents, stakeholders, regulatory authorities, and members, at all times.Adhere to organisational policies, procedures, and code of conduct.Assist to standardise cultural heritage survey and management agreements with proponents.Support the corporation to perform the role of Aboriginal Heritage Service Provider under the Noongar Standard Heritage Agreement, including engagement and overseeing consultant archaeologists and anthropologists, attending surveys from time to time, reviewing survey reports, working closely with survey participants, and associated planning required for these processes.Help to design, develop, and implement a cultural heritage management system, including in relation to spatial data, to standardise, build efficiency and continuous improvement into cultural heritage protection and management.Deliver, as part of a team, internal training about cultural heritage regulatory processes.Present to the Team, Board and Cultural Advice Committee, as required.Meet with proponents and regulatory authorities, including on-site and in-field to manage and assist heritage surveys.Support compliance with governance and regulatory obligations, and to monitor and support proponent and regulatory authority compliance.Assist with office and administrative tasks.Report on activities.Protect the intellectual property of the corporation and its members, confidential information and documents, and equipment and software.Other duties as required.Selection Criteria Essential Qualifications and Experience Experience working with Traditional Owners to build effective and culturally sensitive relationships based on mutual respect.Experience working on Country with Traditional Owners.Tertiary degree in Archaeology, preferably with Honors, or equivalent qualifications/experience.Experience in conducting and preferably leading cultural heritage surveys.Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering all aspects of heritage survey programs including consultant onboarding and management, field management, site recording, and reporting.Ability and desire to work in remote locations.Excellent report and writing skills.Excellent communication skills and project management capabilities.An in-depth understanding of Western Australian Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Legislation (1972), as well as other relevant legislation of the region.First-aid training.4WD experience and training.A connection to Aboriginal Country, preferably Noongar (Section 51).Diversity To enhance our workforce diversity and support Aboriginal employment, as well as to better meet the needs of clients and stakeholders, under Section 51 of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984, Aboriginal peoples are encouraged to apply and identify themselves as being of Aboriginal descent.
