About the Role:
Our client, a highly regarded health service provider with a strong presence in the Melbourne community, is seeking an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist to join their team at their Wyndham Vale clinic. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with pediatric clients and will provide therapeutic services to children in a dynamic clinic environment. The role will also include one day a week dedicated to community-based services.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with 2+ years of experience who is eager to contribute to the growth and well-being of children in a supportive and multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality therapy services to pediatric clients, including assessment, intervention, and ongoing support. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support the developmental goals of each child. Collaborate with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Deliver services primarily in the clinic setting, with one day a week in the community, supporting clients in their natural environments. Maintain accurate client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in accordance with best practices and legal requirements. Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Provide guidance and education to families on strategies to support their child's development and learning. Key Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology. Minimum of 2 years' experience working with pediatric clients (essential). Experience working in a clinic-based setting, with an interest or experience in community-based services. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to develop and deliver tailored treatment plans in a variety of settings. Current professional registration with AHPRA or SPA. Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one. Why This Client?
