We are seeking a talented lead java developer or technical lead to play a pivotal role in launching a groundbreaking innovation in the high-growth global category of RegTech.

About you

You are an experienced developer and team leader who wants to code hands-on and take on a technical leadership role in strategising, planning and executing engineering projects.
You want an opportunity to provide technical leadership on a major project with a view to become a Head of Engineering or CTO.
You are a technology specialist who has been well trained in high end development and best software practice.
You may have spent time in a leading software enterprise or in a boutique role delivering to corporates.
You have a proven ability to lead and plan engineering projects from initial conceptualisation through to delivery and release You can work with product owners and users and come up with creative ways of achieving the business outcome using technology You have led agile and development best practices including running effective sprints, and ensuring high code quality from across a team You have demonstrated experience developing in Python, Java and MySQL and are familiar with AWS, Linux, and Terraform You have the confidence to express your ideas, the humility and good sense to listen well, and you love to learn Experience with MLOps and implementing machine learning systems in production is a huge plus RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position you will:
Lead software development on our enterprise RegTech SaaS application.
We expect the role will be 50% hands on coding and 50% technical leadership.
Drive the development of key dimensions and features of our enterprise SaaS application, from concept to deployment, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and standards.
Work with product owners and other stakeholders to create a roadmap for delivery of the program that encompasses both technical requirements and functional requirements from the business Ensure the development team is operating effectively in terms of both quality and velocity through implementation of development best practices including agile and CI /CD BENEFITS
