ABOUT THIS ROLE
Industrial Electrician (Leading Hand).
The role will be based in the Electrical Engineering Division of JJR Engineering, which is responsible for the electrical and machine safety needs of all the company's facilities and infrastructure.
You will be experienced, reliable and able to provide efficient day-to-day electrical and machine safety support to the team.
Working in a dynamic environment, you will have the ability to learn quickly, demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand, and have excellent problem solving and time management skills.
We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.
This position is a full-time, permanent role that includes a company car and phone.
Based in Yatala - but travel will be required from time to time.
ABOUT YOU A current Electrical Licence recognised by the QLD Electrical Licensing BoardHazardous Area Certification highly regardedExcellent attention to detail and workmanshipOpen C Class Driver's LicenseCurrent CPR/LVRStrong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilitiesA hunger for knowledge and willingness to upskillDemonstrate the ability to build rapport and relationships with all stakeholdersBe dedicated to achieving high standards of safety complianceBe dedicated and reliable; we are an essential service industryInstrumentation experience advantageous but not essentialSubject to pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing REQUIREMENTS Industrial control systems experience; advantageous but not essentialPositive can-do attitudeKnowledge of PLC & VSD systems; programming experience; advantageous but not essentialGeneral machine electrical repairs and maintenanceControl system builds include switchboard manufacturingR&M of commercial installations and industrial systemsWorking with sub-contractorsDirecting a small team of trades and apprentices, as well as directing sub-contractorsInterstate works required time to time but very limited BENEFITS
