Your role will be pivotal in transforming healthcare delivery.
You'll contribute to the seamless operation of health support systems that are not just efficient but also safeguarded with the highest standards of security.The Cyber Security Analyst is accountable under general direction to undertake moderately complex tasks that provide security operations support across the Agency, including identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery from cyber security events.You will apply well-developed data analytical skills to extract meaning from application and system logs; monitoring, analysing, and contributing to the response of security events and threats; providing support to ensure the Agency's products, systems, and services manage security risks appropriately.Responsible for managing competing requests, demands, and priorities; monitoring and identifying emerging and potential security risks; providing timely and relevant details of potential security incidents and risks to supervising security analysts as they are discovered.What You'll BringProvide specialist, technical, and administrative support for the Agency's Cyber Security functions; applying practical and procedural knowledge and understanding of Australian Government security standards including:Attorney General's Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)Australian Signals Directorate Information Security Manual (ISM)Agency ICT security plans, policies, and proceduresTertiary qualifications in ICT / Cyber security.Whilst not essential, professional certifications from ISACA, (ISC)2, SANS or other related certifications are highly desirable.EligibilityAbility to obtain and maintain national police check.Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.Ability to obtain and maintain a Neg Vet 1 security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.Our BenefitsAsk us about our 2025-26 salary increases, annual performance reviews, and superannuation employer contribution of 15.4%.Salary packaging (also known as salary sacrifice) is available.Our Wellbeing Sessions & Employee Assistance Program will give you the best opportunity to balance work and life.Collaborative workspaces with new technology available within central locations.Additional InformationThe position may be filled in Brisbane, Sydney, or Canberra.
