Casual Operating Theatre Assistant

Invitations are now open to apply as an Operating Theatre Assistant at the Royal Melbourne Hospital Perioperative Services Theatre Complex.Our Operating Theatre Assistants will be the backbone of our department, ensuring essential theatre supplies are distributed throughout the complex for every shift.Operating Theatre Assistants provide:Patient Transport to and from the operating theatresAssistance with Patient turns and HygieneReplenishment of consumables throughout the department including fluid and blanket cabinetsTransfer of blood products and specimensAssist with Sterile Stores, CSSD and our Day Procedure UnitRemoval of rubbish and linenOur OTAs are a dynamic workforce that can be re-tasked at any time to assist with patient flow and access to keep our theatres running on time.Minimum Requirements:Minimum Certificate 3 in PSA or at least 12 months current study in a health-related field is required to apply.Position Details:Casual PositionJoin the Parkville Precinct and collaborate with a team of brilliant thinkersRotating rosterThe Royal Melbourne HospitalAs one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services; as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs.
