About the Role As an exercise physiologist, you will be responsible for the assessment of patients, prescription of exercises and supervising patient exercise programs.
You will be working across day rehabilitation and outpatient settings with a wide range of patients including orthopaedic, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, oncology, chronic pain and reconditioning.
Deliver therapy in individualised, group and hydrotherapy settings Work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Essential Skills and Experience Degree in Exercise Physiology (or equivalent) Current Accreditation with ESSA Registration with SIRA (or willingness to obtain) Minimum of 1 years' experience working as an Exercise Physiologist Excellent interpersonal and communication skills High standard of customer service and a team approach Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current evidence based practice Understanding of quality improvement principles Flexible, positive approach to work Experience working in a hospital or rehabilitation setting (desirable) About Us Tamara Private Hospital is an acute Hospital offering medical, surgical and rehabilitation.
It has been a leading provider of healthcare for this community for over 40 years.
With 45 beds, Tamara Private Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including Bariatric, Dental, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic, Urology, Vascular, ENT, Robotic Surgery, Paediatric ENT and Dental, Day Surgery and Medical services.
The Hospital has 4 Operating Theatres including state of the art Stryker Unit and a procedural room, 18 bed Rehabilitation Unit, a 4 bed High Dependency Unit along with ward accommodation for medical and surgical patients in private rooms.
All meals are cooked and prepared on site and Pipers Café provides in house and outdoor dining Mon – Friday.
There is also public access to 2 outdoor courtyards and mobility garden.
