We are seeking an experienced and driven Workshop Supervisor to lead our team of welders and machinist.
If you have hands on expertise in Welding and Fabrication/Machining/Assembly then this could be the ideal role for you
You will take ownership of the workshop; scheduling, allocating and organising the production flow to ensure Fabrication & Machining tasks are completed on time as per required job specifications and drawings.
Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Supervise, motivate and assign responsibilities to employees to ensure production targets are achieved.
Review job documentation and schedule the workshop job flow across Fabrication and Machine Shop to ensure Projects are delivered on time.
Liaise with the Engineering, Procurement and Projects teams to ensure materials and components are available to ensure efficient production flow.
Ensure all work is being completed safely and all employees are adhering to HR and WH&S policies and procedures.
Manage the performance and productivity of workshop employees.
Conduct pre-welding checks were required and post-welding inspection and Quality Acceptance checks on all completed fabricated components.
Provide hands-on support in the fabrication process using your extensive knowledge and experience to assist when needed.

Requirements of the Role/Skills & Experience:
Welding and fabrication Qualifications are a must.
Extensive experience in the fabrication and welding of aluminium and steel components.
Minimum 3 years' experience managing trade personnel in a busy workshop environment.
Excellent supervisory and people skills.
Excellent technical ability, strong numerical & analytical skills, Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
A passion for change and a drive to deliver the best outcome for all stakeholders – employees, customers, end users.
Familiarity with safety regulations and commitment to a safe working environment.
Provide guidance, support, and direction to ensure efficient workflow.
Engage in hands-on work, participating in manufacturing of equipment.
Manage and oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring optimum use of available resources.
Maintain project related documentation and schedule jobs as per priority.
Study fabrication drawings and plan production processes.
Keep track of manufacturing progress and report any issues.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with purchasing as needed.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work meets quality standards.
Foster a positive and safe working environment.
Intermediate computer literacy skills e.g.
Internet-based applications, MS office and outlook Familiarise yourself with the ERP system and utilize it for efficient stock management, order tracking, and production reporting.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and standards in the workshop.
