Perpetual Group is an ASX-listed company (ASX:PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, currently consisting of 11 leading brands across three distinct businesses: Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Trust.
Following the completion of a comprehensive Strategic Review in May 2024, it was announced that Perpetual Limited will become a standalone Asset Management business and has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) who will acquire the Corporate Trust and Wealth Management businesses.
The role of Senior Risk & Compliance Manager - Advice is focused on supporting the Head of Risk & Compliance in coordinating broader Risk & Compliance Business Activities to ensure that PWM operates within the legal and regulatory framework while effectively managing potential risks by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the business and embedding risk & compliance into business processes and systems.
About the role
Lead and manage the advice risk & compliance team to reflect current regulatory requirements and best practice.
Offer expert advice on risk & compliance matters to various departments.
Manage, conduct and document thorough regulatory analyses of new products and services or new regulatory change, ensuring that appropriate controls are in place before launch in conjunction with the appropriate team.
Identify, assess, and prioritise risks associated with PWM's operations, advice and products and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise potential impacts.
Create and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices and ensure these policies are effectively communicated and implemented across PWM.
Work closely with various departments, including legal, finance, operations, advice and Fordham, to integrate compliance and risk management into all business processes.
Continuously monitor the regulatory environment and PWM's risk landscape and provide regular reports to senior management on compliance status and risk exposure.
About you
We're looking for someone with:
Degree qualified in Law, finance, accounting or business.
10 years' experience in risk and compliance roles and/or relevant business role.
Extensive financial services experience essential.
Exposure to the operational aspects of funds management/ financial advice and trustee services and technology risk would be highly regarded.
Strong relationship and people management skills.
Excellent communicator.
Confident presenter in front of senior stakeholders.
Proven ability to be results oriented and drive good stakeholder outcomes.
Strategic thinker.
Desire and aptitude to deliver innovative solutions in the delivery of team strategy.
