Senior Associate - Commercial Banking

Our Business Banking division serves over 10,000 clients in the medium to large business segment across Australia.
These clients have complex financial needs (lending up to $50M) and turnover between $30M and $150M.

Your Impact :
Following an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Associate.
Our team is customer-centric, with a laser focus on speed to market and enjoys flexible working arrangements.
Our customers reside within the Entertainment, Leisure, and Tourism sectors.
As a key member of the Relationship Management team, you'll analyze risks and opportunities in lending to new and existing clients.
You'll also attend meetings with Relationship and Senior Executives, offering vital support to help us achieve our goal of being the #1 Business Bank.
Your Role Will Involve :
Financial modelling and analysis relating to Business and/or Commercial Banking clients.
Preparing credit submissions for new facilities and coordination of deal execution through documentation and funding.
Managing the portfolio's data quality, compliance, and reporting requirements such as pipeline leads, calls, contacts, and revenues versus plan.
Performance monitoring and annual reviews for existing clients, and reporting of client financial and operational performance to Risk Management.
Fostering strong working relationships with the Client Service Centre, Risk Management, Global Markets, Banking Products, and Specialist teams.
Structuring and clearly articulating the credit merits of a transaction, including identifying and mitigating key risks.

Some of the key capabilities & experience we're looking for include :
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
Client service experience, ideally in a Commercial or Business banking environment.
Ability to quickly grasp complex transactions and ideally have previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience.
Strong credit writing and commercial acumen - particularly in financial analysis of balance sheets, profit and loss, cash flow forecasting, and unsecured lending.
A tertiary business/finance and/or commerce qualification would be highly regarded.
