General Manager (Switchboard Manufacturing)About the role
As the General Manager (Switchboard Manufacturing), you will lead a team responsible for the efficient production of high-quality switchboards for a diverse range of clients.
Based in Silverwater, NSW, this full-time role will see you driving operational excellence, overseeing safety and quality standards, and implementing strategies to ensure the ongoing success of the manufacturing business.
What you'll be doing Setting the strategic direction for the switchboard manufacturing operations and aligning the team to achieve key business objectivesOverseeing all aspects of production, including production planning, inventory management, and quality assuranceDriving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectivenessEnsuring compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirementsBuilding and leading a high-performing team, providing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunitiesDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teamsAnalysing data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-makingWhat we're looking for Substantial experience (8+ years) in a senior manufacturing or operations management role, preferably within the switchboard or electrical equipment industryProven track record of leading high-performing teams and driving operational excellenceExcellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skillsStrong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and experience in implementing continuous improvement initiativesDemonstrated ability to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standardsExceptional communication and stakeholder management skillsTertiary qualifications in engineering, operations management, or a related fieldWhat we offer
