Senior Piling Estimator

Looking for a lead estimator for a piling and civil company.We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to head up our Piling Estimating team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting the successful bidding and execution of piling projects by reviewing other bids, conducting your own tenders, and collaborating with senior managers to determine workload and project opportunities.What you'll do:Estimating piling projects Australia-wide and assisting the team in preparing competitive and accurate bids, and participating in reviews with Operations Managers.Analyze project plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain material and labour costs.Have a strong understanding of all aspects of piling technologies.Contribute to the development and maintenance of our estimating database.Support the team by assisting and following up on past bids and building strong relationships with our clients.What we expect you to bring:Diploma in a construction-related field; a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is preferred.Strong understanding of construction fundamentals, including foundation systems.Strong background in main roads specifications and the piling specifications required in each state.Adept at reading and understanding technical drawings.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a must).Prior experience with piling in a large-scale company.Familiarity with geotechnical engineering principles.A strong contract background with an understanding of negotiations.We offer:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to work on challenging and diverse projects.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Training and development program.Be a part of a company that tackles the challenges of ground engineering.Your application will include the following questions:How many years' experience do you have with project planning and scheduling?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you completed a qualification in civil engineering?How many years' experience do you have as a Piling Estimator?How many years of estimating experience do you have?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?How many years' experience do you have in the construction industry?Do you hold a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card)?
