The Role
This position is accountable for the preparation of financial and management reports, the provision of timely, accurate and pertinent analytical information including the compilation of forecasts, and the annual budget/LOM plans.
This position is also accountable for the safe operations and supervision of site stores and procurement activities and is required to support the Group's internal and external audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of financial reports Posting of monthly journals, including physicals Complete monthly timetable and monitor and record performance Complete monthly general ledger reconciliations Accounting for fixed assets cycle Prepare monthly KPI management report and provide insightful analysis to the Federation management team Coordinate, facilitate and participate in cost review meetings Continuous monitoring and improvement of relevant, timely and robust reporting Compilation of budget, forecast and LOM plans Develop, maintain and apply policies and procedures relevant to role Ensure compliance with GST, FBT and Income Tax regulations Prepare FBT return and royalty returns, with maximised outcomes where applicable Accurate maintenance of the Tax Fixed Asset Register Ensure accurate and timely response to ABS surveys, as required Liaise with external and internal auditors as required Assist with implementing site and Corporate initiatives as required Liaise and coordinate with corporate office personnel as required Provide site support for Pronto/Redmap processes and verify application of policies Ensure compliance with safe work practices and achievement of lead indicators Assist the Group commercial function to develop site and Group contracts Ensure processes are in place to effectively administer contracts About You
CPA holder with a minimum of 5 years practicing experience 5-10 years working in the mining industry or a related sector Pronto, Redmap, Adaptive (or similar FP&A tool) and advanced Excel knowledge essential Demonstrated knowledge of business planning, warehousing and procurement to pay processes Experience in leading and managing teams Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes Why work for us?
