Teaching & Learning In literacy, we adopt 'Little Learners Love Literacy', a research-based Structured Synthetic Phonics program.
Our whole-school approach to literacy places emphasis on the 'Big 6': Oral Language, Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary & Comprehension.
In numeracy, emphasis is placed on the Mathematics Proficiencies: Understanding, Fluency, Problem Solving, and Reasoning.
Specialist programs include Indonesian, Physical Education, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and STEAM.

SC2 Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies.
SC3 Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning.
SC4 Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
SC5 Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values.
RoleThe primary focus of the classroom teacher is on the planning, preparation, and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
Classroom teachers engage in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students.
ResponsibilitiesThe role of classroom teacher may include but is not limited to:
Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students;Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area;Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings; staff meetings; camps and excursions;Undertaking other non-teaching supervisory duties.Who May ApplyTeachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified.
