About the Role:As Lead Solution Architect, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing innovative technology solutions that drive strategic objectives.
This is an opportunity to work on transformative projects within the core banking, payments, and mortgages space, shaping the future of the technology landscape.
You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure the architecture is scalable, compliant, and aligned with industry standards.Key Responsibilities:Architecture LeadershipDesign and oversee end-to-end solutions that are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals;Lead the architecture of systems supporting core banking, payments, and mortgage operations.Collaboration and Stakeholder EngagementAct as a key technical advisor, gathering requirements and translating them into actionable technical specifications;Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.Technology Strategy and InnovationAssess emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance performance and compliance;Oversee integration of cloud platforms (e.g., Azure) and drive DevOps and CI/CD practices.Team LeadershipMentor and guide solution architects and engineers, promoting best practices in design and architecture.Compliance and DocumentationMaintain detailed architecture documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.What We're Looking For:Essential Skills & Knowledge:Proven expertise in solution architecture with 8+ years in senior or lead roles;Proficiency in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman);Strong knowledge of Azure and integration architectures;Experience in API management, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines; andHands-on experience with programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python) and design patterns.Industry Experience:Experience in Financial Services is highly advantageous, particularly in core banking, payments, and mortgage solutions.Preferred Skills:Certifications in TOGAF or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect;Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.Attributes:Exceptional communication and leadership skills to mentor teams and engage with stakeholders;Proactive problem-solving abilities and a forward-thinking mindset; andAbility to articulate the business value of architectural decisions.How to ApplyFor more information or a confidential discussion please call Matt Kirk at u&u on quoting Job Ref#39832.At u&u Recruitment Partners, we value diversity, equity and inclusion.
