The purpose of the Senior Medical Officer (General Practitioner) Mater Refugee Complex Care Clinic position is to provide high-quality, evidence-informed medical care for patients attending the Mater Refugee Complex Care Clinic (MRCCC).
Salary range: $87.25 - $98.17 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation, relevant allowances and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+ access to many staff benefits
What you'll be doing Providing comprehensive general practice care for patients from a refugee background, including patients seeking asylum including:
Acute and chronic disease managementHealth assessmentsHealth promotion and care coordinationHealth literacy and patient advocacyMaintain effective communication with the clinic team, including medical, nursing and administrative staffComply with human resource management issues including workplace health and safety, infection control and clinical documentation and handover.
