Senior Manager, Operational Risk MeasurementSydney, NSW, AustraliaJob DescriptionSenior Manager, Operational Risk Measurement - 55008Permanent Full-time positionSydney basedHow will I help?The purpose of this role is to measure Westpac's existing and emerging operational risks.The role holder will support compliance with Prudential Standard APS 115 Capital Adequacy: Standardised Measurement Approach to Operational Risk, ensuring leading practice is defined and implemented consistently across the Group in line with regulatory requirements and Board expectations, and work with other Risk teams to ensure that the Group's operational risk measurement activities are appropriately executed.Some of the key accountabilities are:Assist in the development and delivery of the Group's approach to Operational Risk Measurement, ensuring leading practice is defined and implemented consistently across the Group in line with regulatory requirements and Board expectations.Assist in the development of scenario analysis policy & guidance – including to align to CPS230.Inform the assessment of existing and emerging operational risks, using historic loss analysis and forward-looking scenario analysis.Ensure compliance with APS 115 Capital Adequacy: Standardised Measurement Approach to Operational Risk.Support the 115 return submission and Pillar 3 market disclosures.Identify continuous improvement opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders across the Divisions to drive prioritisation and execution of these opportunities.What do I need?Extensive experience in capital management or risk measurementKnowledge of risk management disciplinesAdvanced analytical, research and problem-solving skillsAbility to effectively communicate with and influence key internal and external stakeholdersWhat's it like to work there?We are a collaborative team of passionate people with a shared ambition to make a difference for our customers, our communities and each other.
