Backed by an established and successful company, this new venture aims to become Australia's leading manufacturer of complementary and compounded medicines.
ROLE The Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Production Manager and will be responsible for keeping the machines and facility up and running.
Initially, the role will be solely focused on helping to ensure that all manufacturing and critical utility services are fully qualified, in preparation for the company's external audits.
During the Validation Phase, you will help operate the machines along with the Production Manager.
Post-licensing phase as the client moves into manufacturing, the position will become a more traditional Maintenance Technician role as described below.
As manufacturing scales and the Production team increases, there are career growth opportunities for a motivated high achiever.
This is an on-site role and an appropriate salary package will be negotiated based on your experience and seniority level.
Please note you must have exprience in a pharmaceutical/complementary medicines facility.
The Responsibilities Perform installation of machinery and parts as needed and service and maintain the facility's existing machinery Run training on machinery operation, set up, and cleaning for others in the team Perform various maintenance repairs and services Perform ongoing inspections and maintenance of building facility, compressed air system, trade wastewater system, HVAC system, and dust extraction system Maintain and control the inventory of tools and parts to avoid unnecessary downtime due to parts shortage Complete tasks associated with the Preventive Maintenance Program Promptly respond and take immediate action in the event of machinery and facility breakdown Assist in sourcing machinery and equipment, communicating with suppliers and external contractors as the need arises Assist in overseeing work performed by external contractors Assist in project management as needed Perform the sole Machine Operator role along side the Product Manager in the validation phase and TGA audit; REQUIREMENTS Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (mechanical, electrical or manufacturing), Trade Certificate or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years maintenance experience or equivalent in pharmaceutical or complementary medicines , mainly in the areas of manufacturing.
Complementary Medicine experience preferred.
Experience in the setting-up and operation of manufacturing equipment.
Experience in parts inventory control.
Demonstrated knowledge of WH&S and commitment on Safety Priority.
Confident and experienced on using tools with a steady and calm personality Problem solving and analytical skills – able to identify root cause and solve issues swiftly High attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance Strong work ethic with a high level of reliability Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people as a team Adaptable to workflow changes and working in a fast paced environment Efficient verbal and written communication skills A current registered NSW Electrician License would be highly regarded but not necessary.
Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen with full work rights in Australia.
