Principal (Clinical Informatics)Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health and social services agencies, has an opening for a Clinical Informatics Principal to join our firm.
This role will focus on developing a new clinical informatics service line for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The role will involve both client work and the creation of innovative informatics capabilities and solutions to enhance care delivery for Veterans.
This is an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team in guiding the development of innovative informatics solutions that significantly enhance care delivery for Veterans.
Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping this new capability, directly influencing the quality of healthcare services provided to those who have served our country.
As we develop this clinical informatics service line, our primary goal is to connect with clients and drive impactful solutions in healthcare delivery.
We are committed to leading initiatives that enhance user engagement and streamline processes, ensuring that our informatics capabilities align with client needs.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOur key areas of focus include education and training, human-centered design, change management and performance improvement, clinical informatics workflows, analysis and policy, technical operations, while growth opportunities in informatics policy analysis, documentation and interoperability, systems design and engineering, and risk management and security.
Minimum QualificationsAdvanced degree in Health Informatics, Nursing Informatics, or related field; MD or clinical background preferredMinimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experienceMinimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical informatics with direct experience in the VA or other federal health clientsStrong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical terminologies, and interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR)Proficiency in data analysis toolsKnowledge of healthcare regulations relevant to the VAExcellent communication and project management skillsProven ability to identify and help resolve issues and risksProven ability to lead a team ensuring that all requirements are fulfilledAuthorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorshipAbility to obtain a public trustAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin.
