Tronox is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team at our Chemical Refinery in the Kemerton industrial park, just North of Bunbury, in the idyllic South West of WA.
This position is offered on a permanent basis with a 9 day fortnight and a 38 hour average week.
The Mechanical Technician is accountable for the maintenance, service, and repair of fixed plant and equipment in accordance with standards and procedures at the TiO2 refinery.
Responsibilities include:
Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
Carrying out standard and complex maintenance testing procedures on a broad range of plant equipment.
Performing maintenance activities, covering fault finding, installation, maintenance, and repair of plant and equipment as required across the site.
Ability to interpret/read P&ID's and piping specifications.
Monitoring operating equipment to detect potential problems.
Completing daily/weekly and shutdown maintenance of plant and equipment.

Previous experience in maintaining complex fixed plant in accordance with strict engineering and safety standards.
