Project Portfolio Manager

Location: ACT QLD, NSW, VIC, SA, TAS, WA, NT Contract: 12 month contract with 12 month extension.
Eligibility: Australian citizenship required.
Hold or obtain a Baseline security clearance.Flexible working arrangements.
About the opportunity: We are seeking a Project Portfolio Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and oversight of key projects within the system transformation.
In this role, you will manage a diverse portfolio of initiatives that align with our vision of empowering consumers and ensuring the highest quality of life.
You will drive continuous improvement, promote best practices, and ensure accountability in service delivery by working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities: Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in portfolio management, project management, or program management within large, complex organisations, preferably in the public sector.
Proven track record of managing a portfolio of projects and programs, including successful delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, with experience in aligning projects with strategic objectives.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the Commission.
Demonstrated ability to manage resources, budgets, and risks, and to address challenges proactively and strategically.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, business administration, information technology, or a related field.
Additional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are highly desirable.
