Are you ready to take on a key role in shaping our community's future?MidCoast Council is seeking dynamic individuals for a Development Engineering role within our team.The roleAs a key member of the development engineering team, you will play a crucial role in providing development engineering services, expertise, and advice for public infrastructure projects.
Your responsibilities will include:Ensuring compliance with Council's standards and specifications related to conditions of development consent.Providing development referrals to achieve Council's development assessment response timelines.Offering strategic advice in relation to engineering considerations and future infrastructure needs.Conducting comprehensive engineering assessments of development applications.Representing Council at the Land and Environment Court.Contributing to the continuous improvement of Council's engineering standards and processes.What you'll bringRelevant qualifications and/or experience in engineering or a related field.Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.A commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes and maintaining professional standards.Experience in the coordination and delivery of civil projects.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in civil construction, specifically in relation to roads, bridges, and drainage.Providing exceptional customer service to stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to organise, schedule, and conduct engineering inspections with a high level of communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.What we offer?We are committed to the growth of our employees and have a range of benefits available to support wellbeing and career development.
Click here to find out more.Salary:We are committed to the growth and development of our employees, offering a supportive work environment, career progression opportunities, and a competitive salary.Salary range: $91,780 - $110,136 p.a.
+ superannuation (negotiable based on experience).Additional 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance on top of the base salary.Vehicle arrangement:A fully maintained leaseback vehicle for both business and private use.
(Council will provide you with a leaseback vehicle for an annual fee calculated as 20% of the gross purchase price.
This is a fully maintained vehicle for both business and full private use with no additional expenses in normal use).Location:This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree.
