Job Opportunity: Senior Associate or Special Counsel

A rare opportunity for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join a broad and growing casualty team, working closely with two highly regarded Partners. This role focuses on liability, including injury and property damage, while also providing access to health, medical negligence, and professional indemnity work.
You will mentor and guide junior lawyers while independently managing high-level matters. Ideally, you prefer an autonomous approach to your work that offers plenty of client-facing opportunities to help build and manage a practice, as there is a clear pathway to partnership for the right candidate. The team has a collaborative culture, with strong mentorship and resource-sharing, giving you access to different practice areas.
This firm has a down-to-earth culture that starts from the top; the Partners are approachable and easygoing. Many of the Partners have progressed through graduate roles, demonstrating the company's commitment to career development and a supportive environment that encourages long-term growth. There is a strong focus on career progression and promotion from within.
You will represent both local and global insurers, including London Lloyds syndicates, handling challenging and complex cases. These range from claims against doctors and hospitals to general liability claims arising from construction and mining activities, including defending contractors and third parties in fatality-related cases.
The role offers flexibility, ideally suited for full-time, but consideration will be given to the right person seeking a four-day week role. It's a great place to work, where late nights in the office aren't the norm, offering a stronger work-life balance compared to some of the major firms.
This role is ideal for an Insurance Lawyer looking to join a firm offering a clear path to Partnership and a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple insurance practice areas.
