About the OpportunityOur client is looking for an experienced Prepress Operator to join their team full-time in Mount Waverley, VIC.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing daily prepress activities, working from files supplied through to plate creation.
You will also handle some digital printing tasks and are expected to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Handling daily prepress duties, from file management through to creating platesOperating digital printing equipment as requiredPreparing print files for production, ensuring accuracy and qualityManaging and troubleshooting prepress equipmentCollaborating with the production team to ensure deadlines and quality standards are metWorking independently to manage time and priorities effectivelyMaintaining communication with the production team regarding job progressEnsuring adherence to health and safety standardsUsing Heidelberg Prinect (advantageous but not essential)About YouTo qualify, you will need prior experience in a similar prepress operator role, ideally with both offset and digital printing.
Experience with Heidelberg Prinect will be highly regarded, though it is not essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work unsupervised are critical.
Additionally, you will have:
A keen eye for detail and quality assuranceStrong problem-solving skills and adaptabilityThe ability to work efficiently and manage time effectivelyKnowledge of digital printing and offset printing processesAs our ideal candidate, you will be a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
