This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team in a high-profile area of government.About the Role:The Senior Legal Policy Officer will work across the legal profession regulation and First Law Officer workstreams.
They will provide authoritative legal policy advice on the exercise of the Attorney-General's First Law Officer functions and opportunities for regulatory reform within the Legal Profession Uniform Law scheme.Key Responsibilities:Providing authoritative advice to the Attorney-General and departmental executives on operational issues affecting Victorian integrity agencies.Identifying, developing, and implementing legal policy proposals and legislative reform.Managing designated projects, undertaking research, and developing evidence-based policy proposals.Stakeholder engagement and strong interpersonal collaboration skills are essential in this role.About You:As an ideal candidate, you will possess:Highly developed knowledge and experience of legislative and public policy processes.A strong ability to adopt an innovative, strategic and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.A consistent ability to deliver high-quality written and verbal advice.A proficient ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Qualifications:A tertiary qualification in law is highly desirable.How to Apply:Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
